Castlewood, SD - 2017

I was welcomed to Castlewood to work with 7th-12th graders on becoming better storytellers and create characters from a more objective perspective. Students each created their own characters and biographies.

Kimball, SD - 2016

I visited Kimball to work with 7th-12th graders in creating short stories with Three Act Structure in order to break into small publishing companies to create a sic panel comic.

St. Joseph's Indiand School - 2016

Michael, and his cousin Douglas, Two Bulls and I joined 7th and 8th graders to create a mural as well as a series of short stories and six panel comics. We focused on the theme Mni Wiconi, or water is life.

Sisseton, SD - 2016

I worked with k-5th graders in Sisseton's elementary school. We created quick single panel comics with a focus on creating new characters.

Anne Sullivan Sioux Falls, SD - 2016

I worked with 4th and 5th graders to create comics in four days. They learned Three Act Structure and created single and three panel comics.

Messy Hands Art Camp, Vermillion, SD - 2016

I joined a handful of other artists at the Messy Hands Art Camp, in Vermillion, to teach comics. The camp lasted two weeks, with some student overlap. Campers learned Three Act Structure, created single panel, three panel, and six page independent comics. The camp was open to K-8th graders.

Gregory, SD - 2016

At Gregory, I worked with K-7th grade during a summer elective program. During which we wrote a series of short stories and created single and three panel comics. Students learned Three Act Structure and exhibited use of the principles of comics.
